A new job has taken us to the town of La Coma i la Pedra, in the province of Lleida. It has been a new construction project in which we had to build a bathroom. We have done it in the attic of a farmhouse over 200 years old. In this way we have adapted a part to achieve a modern and functional bathroom.
Now the owners have an extra bathroom space that complements perfectly with the main bathroom. In this way the bedrooms on the different floors can distribute each bathroom equally.
One of the major new features in this bathroom construction project is the new equipment. For this purpose, a corner of the attic has been used that allowed us to install them in the indicated place. This new bathroom includes a washbasin with two drawers for storage, a toilet, and a shower.
Thanks to our experience in bathroom renovations we have been able to create a completely functional bathroom space. In addition, this bathroom space has surface area that can be used to enhance it even more. For example, it has the perfect space to place bathroom furniture and increase storage space.
The appearance of this combines two very well-matched styles. For this work we wanted to maintain the original look offered by the attic. In this sense, two of the walls of the bathroom we have built are made of the original stone of the farmhouse. It also preserves the original exposed wooden beams that are throughout the ceiling.
From here we have placed the new bathroom elements. To begin with, we have installed a tiled floor in a soft gray tone. With these same finishes we have tiled the shower wall. These neutral colors are accompanied by the washbasin unit with a natural wood finish.
In this new construction project we have created a bathroom area with a modern and fresh atmosphere. In addition, we have equipped it with modern and functional sanitary ware.
