We recently completed a house renovation in the Sant Gervasi area of Barcelona. In this project we have taken it upon ourselves to improve the interior design and the facilities. The kitchen is usually the most striking space in a before and after renovation. In this project we changed the new kitchen. It was originally in what is now a bathroom. With the redistribution of spaces, we currently find the kitchen right at the entrance.
We knocked down several walls on the right side of the hall to accommodate an open kitchen. In addition to the kitchen, we have installed kitchen furniture with large and spacious cupboards. The aim is to increase the storage capacity of the kitchen and to be able to integrate several hidden appliances in the same piece of furniture.
The new kitchen greatly improves on the previous one. It is spacious, offers a large support surface and is fully equipped. At the same time, we have also installed a kitchen island that expands the work surface and storage. All this exposed in a classic interior design in neutral tones.
We have also completely renovated the two bathrooms in the house. Both are on the left side of the house. The first is located in the original place, a space next to the second bedroom. Meanwhile, the other bathroom is now located in the original location of the kitchen.
In this before and after renovation the improvement of the bathrooms is very noticeable. Each cleaning space is equipped with a toilet with storage furniture. This is accompanied by a toilet and a shower tray. In both cases the taps have a golden finish, just like the kitchen.
For the design of the bathrooms, it has been chosen to follow the line of neutral tones of the rest of the house. In one bathroom green tiles are used and in the other the walls have white tiles. The two bathroom renovations are part of bright spaces with a pleasant atmosphere for daily use.
In addition to the reform and redistribution of rooms, we have also applied a new interior design. In this plot the before and after the renovation changes completely. It has gone from a neglected look to a modern design full of life. The yellowish tones of the original walls have given way to white and beige walls. We managed to let natural light flow throughout the floor.
The new laminate parquet floor also stands out. It brings warmth to the home and generates continuity, unlike before with different types of floor.
