The owners of this small house have decided to renovate it, to make it tailor-made and adapted to their needs. For the new image of this renovation in Barcelona, as it is a small flat with low ceilings, we wanted to give the rooms more space. For this reason, we have chosen materials that help us in our purpose. On the one hand, a laminate parquet floor in light tones has been placed on the floor, with an oak finish. On the other hand, white walls and ceilings bring brightness and dimension.
In addition, original elements of the flat have been kept. The ceiling beams in the living area give you personality and make it very cozy. And the wooden balcony windows maintain the essence of the apartment and the neighborhood.
The kitchen is an independent space in the living room. It is distributed in an L shape and the design is designed to guarantee maximum storage capacity and practicality in its use. It is fully equipped with new appliances and, in this case, runs on gas.
The flooring is porcelain stoneware, resistant and easy to clean. The white furniture seeks to give the kitchen more space, since it is a small space, in accordance with the dimensions of the house. In addition, it brings clarity to the space. The counter contains the gas hob and sink, as well as a small workspace for preparing dishes.
This house has a particular factor. Originally the WC was in a separate toilet so, for technical reasons, it has had to be kept like this. The bathroom is generously sized and equipped with a shower tray, bidet and sink. This piece of furniture was custom made so that it could include the washing machine area in addition to the hand basin.
Both floor and wall tiles are in light, neutral tones. The furniture and sanitary ware are white, creating a clean and timeless set. As for the lighting, in addition to the general lighting recessed into the ceiling, a decorative linear sconce has been placed the same length as the mirror. In this way we have a specific light for each use.
